Matt Davis, Vice President 

Matt Davis is Vice President for Government Affairs. Mr. Davis leads the organization’s efforts to advance the Chamber’s legislative agenda in the Greater Cincinnati region, Columbus and Washington D.C. He lobbies elected officials on key business issues such as economic development, health care, tax, trade, transportation, energy, labor, and education.

Prior to joining the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Matt served as the Vice President for Public Affairs at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, where served as the organization’s liaison with elected officials, community leaders, and media outlets.

Mr. Davis also served as Executive Director for the Great Lakes Regional Office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Davis led the organization's efforts to advance the U.S. Chamber’s legislative agenda by strengthening its relationships with Members of Congress through member businesses, associations and location chambers of commerce throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Specifically, he lobbied Congress and builds grassroots support for issues such as education and workforce development, transportation and infrastructure, health care, international trade, labor, and tax issues.

Before joining the U.S. Chamber staff, Mr. Davis served on the government relations team at Convergys Corporation, a Fortune 1000 company in Cincinnati, Ohio where he managed the corporation’s political action committee and lobbied elected officials at the federal, state and local levels on issues such as data security, global sourcing, and tax issues. He has also served as Regional Representative for the Treasurer of State of Ohio. There, Mr. Davis managed relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and financial institutions in Ohio. 

Mr. Davis received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Miami University.

Tom Ewing, Senior Legislative and Policy Analyst

As the Chamber’s Senior Legislative and Policy Analyst, Tom Ewing reviews all federal, state, and local legislation affecting the regional business community and determines which of the Chamber’s issue committees will best analyze the legislation.

Tom has been with the Chamber since August, 1992.

Jason Kershner, Manager

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Jason uses his government affairs and political experience to advance the public policy agenda of the Cincinnati business community.  As the Manager, Government Affairs for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Jason advocates on the local, state, and federal level on behalf of nearly 5,000 Chamber-member businesses.  Prior to joining the Chamber in 2008, Jason spent two years on Capitol Hill working for United States Senator George Voinovich.
